Don't forget to get a pet food bowl and feed/water them. H = Follow, it works on all of your domesticated animals. I havent tested cats though, they tend to just do whatever they want, just like irl
I haven't had a problem buying/picking up ammo from the general store. Sometimes it can be a bit recessed into the ground. I've never bought ammo that I couldn't pick up, personally.
I haven't tried to buy a pet yet. I'm still having trouble with breeding. None of my animals (Beef cows, chickens, and pigs) seem to breed when I'm away from my ranch. Considering the size of the DLC map, I spend more time away from my ranch when I decide to run errands.
I'm not sure if it's a common problem, but I haven't noticed this in the base game map.
