OIL FIELD

I am on the DLC and cant find an oil field. I own the $8000 ranch. I have searched everywhere and have run out of gas twice. Please help.

It's my understanding that the oil slick's are random in both location and roll of the game. I found goof info on youtube about oil rigs. in the search of youtube type in oil rigs in ranch sim.

They are random around the map, I found one in front of the $6k ranch near the trailers luckily and found one in the canyon but couldnt use it due to me not owning that particular ranch. I read that different ones become "active" every save or autosave, so just have to keep an eye out every now and then.

I found one in front of 6k ranch and also one near the bridge in town down in the canyon bottom. Only 2 I found so far though. Built on both without an issue. And the van will haul a bunch of oil barrels in it just so you know.

What do you mean, no Ranch? That is, how did you determine that they are there at all, then if you don't have a game or what?

I found two active oil sites. One is between the 8K ranch and the hunter's cabin. The other is way northwest in a little valley.

I noticed a drill rig is available to build in the original game. Do they work in original or is the DLC needed?

What do you mean, no Ranch? That is, how did you determine that they are there at all, then if you don't have a game or what?

on the DLC map there are several different ranch plots you can buy for various prices from what I heard the 2 most expensive ones have oil on them but you can only use the oil site if you own that ranch plot.

They work in both Its a little harder to figure out what a dry oil spot looks like in the DLC
