new patch issue

so the last 2 night i spent 4 ish hours total mowing everything in the area of the ranch to the north west on the new map

just updated to the new patch and its all back again

game takes long enough to mow the grass with the little lawnmower now i got to do it all again. not amused after all the effort the last 2 days gone.

saved the game with no grass and weeds loaded the save and its all back again

There was an issue with the lawn mower for players joining others' games, so we have patched this. Unfortunately it does mean that already mowed grass will return following the patch :( We apologise for this unfortunate side effect of the fix.

If you do mow again, this progress will be saved.

its a bit hard to Mow things that are growing now inside chicken huts houses and so on that you already built
so i either live with all the stuff inside things that i can not remove now or i delete the 20 hours of save and start again.
so with that part in mind i honestly cant be bothered to play it as a result.

Could you please send an email to [e-mail] with your save file and an explanation of your issue. The save file (ranchsave_1.sav or a custom name if set) is located in: AppData\Local\Ranch_Simulator\Saved\SaveGames

To access this location, you can do the following:

- Press the windows key and R together to open the run command
- type in %appdata%/../local/Ranch_Simulator/Saved/SaveGames and press ok

We may be able to help you out and ease the pain of the rebuilding process a little if you do wish to give it another shot.

the fact that it broke peoples progress and that its on sale for a fraction of the prices long term gamers paid and we supported you got nothing in return as a thanks except game being broken over and over again ruining saves and peoples work makes me not want to even bother anymore.

i got the game day 1 it came out, worked my ass off building a ranch on that for it to be wiped out THEN on the next map AND same again than my mega ranch be unplayable thanks to updates making the saves impossible to load and not this.

nah im good thanks, even paid full price for the DLC only for it to go only sale just after my refund hours where up. worst part is i have 2 kids and my wife all play this game together and so i paid 4 x full prices and we ALL lost our saved games on our own ranches and our family ranch.

so yeah, we are done. sorry

Hi there. Thank you for your feedback on the game. While save wipes during Early Access alongside updates that fundamentally change the game do happen with some Early Access games, I understand how this could be frustrating.

As for the DLC, that is an odd issue. We are running a launch discount for the DLC, meaning that the 33% discount went live at the same time as the DLC became available for purchase. If this discount somehow wasn't showing up and you were charged full price for the DLC, that sounds like a bug with the Steam store. Please do contact Steam support regarding this as you should not have been able to purchase the DLC at full price.
