Get items back when we demolish/move structures?
Let's say I decide to move a fence, or a building.. if I use the demolish tool, I get no material back. I would suggest you get the building materials back (even if with a penalty) so that you don't lose everything when you decide to re-arrange...

agreed mostly. I say mostly because I just discovered I made a mistake in the placement of my grain silo so far only got the concrete in it but can't line up my 3rd chicken coop for my chicken slaughter. the silo is in the way. Now yes I should not necisarily get back the concrete since there is no in game way to reconstitute it. But if I was to complete the thing the metal would be reusable mostly. Maybe getting back half what you put in would be great.

I agree. Full 1:1 reimbursement of materials would not be realistic. I think half would be reasonable.

the ones I put in my suggestion list

it's just being able to move a building and barriers etc ...

that I would like

because if you place the silo incorrectly, it costs a lot to redo just for the displacement of 1 cm

Hello, you can see the range of the silo before you've built it by clicking on it :)

Thanks everyone for the suggestion! We'll be considering this one and it's on our list

well it is supposed to be a simulator. IRL you typically don't get your resources back when you demolish something

Recycling and re-purposing. I've used recycled wood in real life before from a demolished structure from a old patio and stairs. Though granted not as pretty as new wood but it is wood regardless.

When you demo something in real life you do get some stuff back that is usable still if you want to go through the pile and pick stuff out. It also is how careful you demolish it on how much you want to reuse and not wanting to destroy the resources that your trying to save. I say in the game you should get like a quarter maby to a half back from demolished stuff.

Pleeeease we need this option. It is true to life for a lot of budding Ranchers who don't have enough money initially. A percentage of materials should be returned on demolishing.:steamthumbsup::steamthumbsup::steamthumbsup: to all those wanting this.

keithw283, with all respect, the recycle yards are FULL of materials from demolished buildings even though it is a lower percentage of the quantity of original materials used.
mustix Apr 1, 2022 @ 7:18am
At least a 50% of the materials used
