Horses losing stat points
so i've bought quite a few horses from the auction (not all at once)
but noticed 1 in particular while i was bidding in auction had very high stats including a completely full health section.
when i successfully won it & got up on the saddle to ride it (on the road leading to my ranch), i checked the stats again and several of the stats had dropped, including the health which had been completely 100% full.
This sucks enormously because we spend more for the better stats only to have them drop once we own the horse.
the training arena is also pretty useless in that it really doesnt seem to do anything to better the horses stats, i could waste an entire game day, neglecting all my other animals & run a horse around and around and do the jumps and still barely make a difference, if anything at all, with the horses stats. kinda dont see the point in it right now.

I have also ran into this issue myself on multiple horses actually on all of them . It brought all their stats down and not sure why

Im also having an issue with the babies not growing up at all so not sure why these two issues are happening. I even got rid of everything so i can just focus on just the horse training

The stats shown in the auction are potential stats of the horse after training. Sorry for any confusion this may cause.

ohhh, ok. well that info is helpful.
is there any way to find out about how long/how much a horse need to be worked through the training arena to reach its max stat potential?

also, i discovered that going to the auction's sell page shows the foals in the list of horses along with their stats and gender but i was wondering if the auction displays all foals as mares only?

this is ridiculous.

also, doesn't this mean the steam achievement is harder to get if your horse has very high potential (longer time required)

like, can i just buy the cheapest horse with the least potential and once it is filled up as advertised on the auction, the achievement will pop?

For the achievement, you just need to fully train the horse up to its potential.

All horses will only increase by a certain amount regardless of starting stats.
Which means a low cost horse may never reach the highest possible states, as it only gains 5 points in each stat.
