Fertilized Eggs

I'm noticing that I'm not getting fertilized eggs. Out of 4 hens and 1 rooster I have gotten just one. I have collected at least 200 eggs since I had one hatch. When I played during early release I got lots of fertilized eggs.

A rooster will only fertilize 1 egg per day, so if you want more fertilized eggs you have to buy more roosters or wait for roosters to hatch and keep them.

i thought it was something like that. I have gone 30+ game days and in that time i have only gotten one fertilized egg and that was almost right away. maybe its a glitch. Ill have to add to my flock and see what happens. When the game was still early release i had no issues expanding my 'chicken family' on just 1 rooster and 2 hens.

Maybe try being near the rooster and chickens at 16:00 . That's when the animals breed. If you see the floating hearts, job done!

How strange, I don't have that issue at all so maybe it is a glitch. Maybe try what dolkin suggested and stand near to watch during mating time? Well anyway good luck.

The chickens make fertilised eggs at 10:00

I purchased 2 more roosters and 4 more hens and now suddenly I have 7 chicks that recently hatched. Very weird but whatever the hold up was it seems to have resolved. thanks :)
