Animals love to escape!
Why??? This feature is soooo frustrating. If I attempt to add an animal to my pasture (maybe 15 fences long/square), more escape while the one I am attempting to bring into the pasture refuses to enter. This usually means I close the gates and shoot every animal in the area, and ensure to shoot all that escaped. I've tried adding animals at night, but this doesn't work either!!! The sleeping animals will just start gliding across the ground (still sleeping) and go right out of the gate. Why? What is the purpose of this. I understand animals will try to get out - I've lived around farms - but there are ways to prevent the escape. Can we have a stick to whip the animals, or have a horn, or something to get the animals away from the gate, so that we can introduce another animal? Please?

Depending on what kind of animal, this may be part of the fun. As the owner of horses goats and wolfdogs i can tell you that even the most intelligent farm animal can be ornery or unmanageable sometimes. The only relatively safe solution (IRL but it works in the game too) to have an outer fence to stop any escaped animal, also keeping out undesirable guests. The other useful solution is an airlock kind of double gate where a truck or trailer can on and offload the animals between the two gates.

Some of my family have had all sorts of farm animals. I've been around them, and I do believe what you say to be 100% true. What I am saying is that there are ways to prevent it, and the game should allow us to move the animals around (a yell, a whip, a horn, etc). Using double gates is what I normally do. However, it still doesn't work most of the time. I tried to put a medium pig into my barn (2 front sections with 2 middle sections) that had 5 pigs inside. The 5 pigs met me at every door before I could get the one pig inside. I tried for a very long time running from door to door, and trying to get this darn pig to follow. I eventually gave up. There are still only 5 pigs. I wanted to get 4 females into the 4 stalls, and have a male or two walking around inside the barn. I initially tried to get a mating pair into each stall - that will NOT happen.

I would just like the management of animals to be a little more user friendly. Realistic would be great. I remember pushing cows and horses to get them to move. You can become trapped in this game if you are surrounded by animals. Let us move/push/manage them.

Watching sleeping animals sliding across the ground headed for the gates? I don't have an answer for that...

My friends have luck with using an “airlock” system, with a second gate and fencing. Still occasionally have escapees.

Yeah. Fix the animal runaway issue that also obviously occurs when sighting a weapon for a shot at a wild animal.
I'd like the Cats & Dogs too but not at the expense of not fixing real game problems like:
1- The driving of vehicles or riding my horses. Somebody said earlier the driving of vehicles in this game is like trying to drive an ice cube on a warm plate.
2- Rain - Stop with the almost constant rain that only affects the players patience with no effect on it's surroundings.
These are what I believe are most important repairs for the devs to fix to keep this game playable. Not Cats and Dogs.
