completed the tutorial, now what?

AS I finished the tutorial I have 2 chicken, which can make 2 eggs; which is nowhere near enough to sell to build anything basically. I see no way to make money so far, nor there is any mission or tutorial to follow to get extra income.

What am I missing?

You can have multiple strategies:

1. Take out a loan. Then buy two milk cows, a bucket, a milk can. Sell the milk until you can store cheese either in a house or build a cheese storage.

2. Find bees. Build a beehive and honey collector. Each barrel of honey sells for around $280 a piece.

3. Do some quests, each one pays $400. The hunter and old rancher can make you a couple grand doing all their quests.

4. Same as number 1 but milking goats instead.

5. Get a loan. Build a small greenhouse. Grow Tomatoes and melons. It's not much but if you keep the plants healthy then it will produce a steady enough income to get out of debt.

There are 2 oil spots on the map, hard to find but they are a darker nearly black splotch usually just off a road...build the oil rig, keep it fueled and it generates a very High passive income. They're right, do the quests They're fairly easy and cut trees enough to build a corral for a few pigs, later you can afford the barn ,silo,and water windmill...but start with just fencing, when the PIGS are as large as possible...put them in the forever sleep, load your coolers and sell at highest bonus...this game literally Gives you money once you know how....good luck

We go hunting, bear and deer meat pays really well either at the general store or the fast food restaurant.
There's also a hunter who will give you an upgrade once you're done with the three(?) quests, plus money and meat you receive during the hunt.

That got us pretty far and can be done on the side while driving around

One quest pays well.. is 3 things you have to search, Helmet, Dagger, Cup... << that helped me.. i also in the begin ask, what i supposed to do with 2 eggs.. another things someone told me, you not need chickens in the beginning, sell them, get piggies.. :)

Get a rooster so your chickens multiply over time.

Get two pigs, female and male, put them in the garage, and let them mate. Kill the male once the female gave birth. And when the piglets stopped following their mother you can slaighter the mother too.

Do not build feedthrough or waterthrough at the start.
Just pour grain bags on the ground and have a full water bucket refilled from a well you built.

Basically each female pig will give you like 3,4,5,6 piglets as long as you have a male nearby. And you just slaughter the oldest pigs and keep the piglets.

Thanks, I see that there are options! Although I see no quests.
My panel is completely empty...

I finished the demolition of the big house, and the chicken coop is built, so all the tasks for the tutorial are completed but nothing else is in the menu as far as quests. I thought the game bugged out or was stuck so I started a new game and skipped the tutorial; and the house is not there and the chicken coop is there; but even in that case I see no quests at all.

Not sure if I have a bug or what, but at this point I will try to get the loan then. As I have only a thousand or so, I can't really do anything except get more chickens and food for the chickens, as everything else seems quite expensive.

For the quests, search around the map for other houses and talk to the person at the house to accept a quest. The panel just shows quests that you are currently working on. You will only be able to have two active quests at a time. Many of the quests can be repeated in 2 or 3 days. The treasure hunt will pay $2500 and can be repeated.

Get also some seeds such as watermelon seeds and tomatoes. They aren't the most expensive, they grow quiet quick and provide extra income. but you will need to build a well to get water for them. Best to do is, if you don't have a well yet, build it, you need only like 10 concrete and couple of wood planks + you get infinite water source, whereas if you buy water tank from general store, its going to cost you financially.

I see; so the quests need to be acquired by the person at their home... I thought it was like Farm simulator where you have a list of jobs and you accept them by the menu and then go to the farm place to do the job... Thanks!

This should be explained better to be honest; this game is nice but the tutorial is really missing a lot of what is expected from you to do to get going, and would be nice to get a couple of messages in game saying "now go talk to people" and put some markers on the map :) Even GTA 3 Had markers 15 years ago for the quest starter LOL

Ranch Simulator and Farm simulator are different things, they aren't going to work the same...

You will soon ask yourself if there is actually a way to NOT make money :) the most funny part was to try to understand myself how to make money.. and the game offers tons of ways even at beginning, some faster some slower but you will get there :D
