Random chicken and rooster deaths?

My chickens and rooster randomly died off in quick succession and I have no idea why. Anyone else experience this? I have the pen that is supposed to hold up to 20 chickens.

They're probably starving to death. Keep a close watch on their food and water troughs.

Yeah that wasn't it. Not sure what was going on.. I honestly think there is some jenky stuff going on with a lot of this game and I hope the devs are looking into this.

hey i brought 4 pigs back to my ranch and took em out of the trailer and they blew up wtffffffffffff im dying here this has to be a serious problem

Did you spend an extended time away from the ranch at all?

I mean yeah I spent the daylight hours away from the ranch. Made sure the chickens were fed and watered, cleaned their poo and collected eggs. I do not feel like standing at the ranch watching grass grow (there is simply nothing to do when you are trying to wait for eggs to pop out or pigs to fatten up) so I decided to be proactive and hunt deer. Well there were no deer on my ranch so i had to drive across town and make a few hundred $$ that way. Come back, find 3 dead chickens.

The time before that, didn't even leave the ranch. They just kept dying. The rooster. Then a chicken. Then another chicken. It was like when 'they' decided to blow up that chemical train in Ohio and peoples animals starting randomly dropping like flies.

I wouldn't mind sticking around on the ranch all day if there were more to do. Like more decorative options. (trees should re-grow) so that we can be more pro-active on creating the materials needed to build and design said decorative options. I mean. This game is amazing don't get me wrong. We just simply need more to do. More fence options. More decorative options. Some lean-to's for cattle pens, tools for making paths. My ideas are too great for where this game is currently at. But obviously the immediate issue is getting animals to apparently not spontaneously explode or die from some airborne disease.

Oh and can we please add angle snapping for fence construction? It is so difficult to see 90 deg angles when placing the fencing.

i had one of the origional chickens die that might have been starvation.

the first female pig was likely starvation

but the random deaths after that was unexplained since i had the granery nearby which was full and in range making it so that only the chickens and rooster require manual feeding it wasn't thirst as i'd check that wen the pigs and chickens were all sleeping and top up accordingly.

fortunatly these were not major losses for me since i have a lot of pigs thanks to the pigs giving birth frequently so i made a profit and have plenty pigs left over

Do you know why or what caused this? This needs to be cleaned up so bad. Like I don't think people want to come play a death simulator when they want to raise precious little animals!

Had a rooster, 3-4 chicks and 3-4 chickens dead. Food trough was empty even though granery was full. Manually filled it - and has not happened again.........so far.

No there was plenty of food the chicken have chicks but 50% of them just die after say 1 to 2 days in game, i have a self built barn with 5 chicken huts in it and have about 15 chickens and 6 male chickens but once the chicks are born i remove the male chickens to another area, they do not run out of food as i check them often. Dam you can't even call what the male chickens are properly called for censorship. I have now killed all my chickens and hens off and not bothering with having any.

I just logged in today and my rooster and two hens were dead. Plenty of food and water, I'm less than a week into the game. The rooster and one hen were new, the second hen was one I got with the tutorial. First one hen died and when I replaced her I got the rooster. Now they're all dead. They had no problem walking in and out of the coop to get to the food and water, and the hens were laying eggs, so wtf???
