ammunition store?

where can you buy ammunition?
I have definitely visited every store. Hunting is therefore impossible.
Is there any "hidden" store?
or what do you have to do to be able to buy ammunition?

the general store

The ammo is at the general store. The same ammo will fit the pistol and the rifle. It is a box of 24 rounds for $40.

also the hardware store.... nevermind I thought they were there but they're not

As far as I know, they have never been available at the hardware store. If they were, it must have been the very first map before there was free build in the game. I only played a few hours in that version, so don't remember.

where is it in the general store?
i go to the vending machine then have the categories:
ALL - without ammunition
Animals - then I get a list with animals
first animal is a chicken and the last one is a goat
food and water - empty
tools - empty
farming- empty

No ammunition at the vending machine
exactly the same at the hardware store
