Eggs Not Hatching
I have a bunch of chicken eggs that are fertilized. They have been sitting for about 10 days now in game and still won't hatch. Is there a limit to how many eggs can be in an area or something? I miss my little chicks running about.

Not saying I’m right, but check how many adults and chicks are running around in your coop.. Some buildings have a 20 max, the Expensive does 30.

How certain are you that the eggs are fertile? I've had instances where a Rooster and Hen are basically always in wing's range of each other, but sometimes the Hen just doesn't lay a fertile egg. Additionally, the Hen will also always lay an infertile egg at 4 pm every day.
So no matter what, you'll have infertile eggs mixed in with your fertile batch.

I've been having the same issue. I'm using the chicken coop that holds 20 and have 1 rooster and 3 hens. I know the eggs are fertilized because the hens have been attacking and I also got an ovoscope and these eggs have the dark spot. The eggs also display as "fertilized egg" when I pick them up.

I have tried keeping them in the coop and keeping them in a basket next to the coop but still no chicks and it's been 6 days since the first one was laid.

This is very odd, could you send us your save file so we can take a look at this.
The best place to send it would be support@Excalibur-games.com

you can locate your save file by doing the following

- Press the windows key and R together to open the run command
- type in %appdata%/../local/Ranch_Simulator/Saved/SaveGames and press ok

Hello, I currently have the same problem. At first everything would work very well and without apparent reasons my eggs do not hatch. And babies do not grow :(

Did you find a solution? as i am encountering the same issue, I have multiple Coops, yet i only have 2 Coops where i keep my roosters to reproduce, one of these Coops is an Expensive Coop with (Total 6) 1 Black Rooster, 1 Black Chicken, 1 White Rooster, 1 White Chicken, 1 Brown Rooster, and 1 Brown Chicken. It has been a long time since the eggs has hatched.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Edit:

Possible SOLUTION:
I believe that there is a limit to the chicken count. I sold all of my chicken and bought new pairs and now they are hatching again.

I have the same issue right now, I have probably 30 fertilized eggs not hatching now and only like 10 hens and 3 roosters in the 30 chicken coop
RayJRabbit Nov 16, 2023 @ 1:05pm
same... 36 fertilized eggs. 14 in game days

I got the same problem, I got 1 expensive coop with about 25 hens and another smaller coop for the eggs, but they dont hatch (they are fertile)

Any solution to this yet? My fertilized eggs just keep piling up and it seems like most of them aren't hatching.

I have the same problem. I have 2x 8 chicken coops and 2x 30 chicken coops, 1x rooster and 2x hens. I have about 24 fertilised eggs (checked with ovoscope) and when I took them to the store it said they were fertile. But I have waited 6 in game days and no hatches. In my previous save ... before the update I was over run with chicks. i came here to see if I needed to buy an incubator since the update.

Solved - I had to take the eggs out of the basket and put 4 eggs in each pen that holds 8 chickens (the chickens and rooster are in a different pen all together).

Glad to know I'm not the only having this issue! I started the game and in the first file they just stopped hatching. I started a second file and have a love shack but it got to a point where I was getting overrun with fertilized eggs so I evicted the roosters and left the hens. The fertilized eggs were all checked by me on the machine and placed in the middle section. They don't get mixed since the new eggs go into the drawers that I can pull open. I had chicks hatching but nothing in a good while and these eggs were being laid back to back (had 4 hens and maybe 6 or 7 roosters).

Have you tried closing the chicken coop at night and making sure the mother hen of the fertile egg is in that coop? I think you need to make sure that there are ideal hatching conditions. You can find the mother hen by picking up the egg, this will make the hen attack you, then simply place that hen in the closed coop with the egg overnight.

A global limit, or just in a certain area? If I were to build another pen with more coops, would it fix it? I currently have a pen with a big coop and 3 small coops, I have about 30 hens and 3 roosters.

Same problem here. I have 3 coops but non of the eggs are hatching. Seems like a bug.
