I do not have the option to mow my ranch. plus it took half a tank of fuel to get it home.

it mows automatically. All you do is turn it on and drive around and it mows the grass your driving over

if by purpose you mean do you get anything for it no. If the grass is not bothering you in any way then there is no reason to mow it. It's more for when grass is coming through the floors of buildings or inside your barn
