What are the best way to gather logs?

oh no, i chopped too many trees on the map and they are an eye sore. So far it's like a chore to pick them up one by one

If you run backwards while repeat-pressing the mouseclick-pickup to pickup and drop you can haul pretty many of them towards a direction faster than running 1by1, you'll find the angle to look downwards that fits the speed you run. :P

Stack them in the back of a vehicle?

I usually just cart my sawmill over to them and cut them into planks, then stack them in the back of the vehicle.
