Can’t Trigger the Farmer’s Quests??

So on my last game file, I found the farmer and did all of his quests. But then I made a costly mistake and lost all of my animals so I had to start over with a new game file. I have not been to the farmer during this game file, and my ranch is almost ready for chickens so I went to see him to trigger all of the quests. Only now all he says is ‘Glad to see you, partner!’ - and my only response is goodbye! Did I miss a step along the way - like talking to someone triggers the farmer’s ability to trigger his own quests? Or was this feature taken away?

Hi! Have you finished the tutorial?
If so, then heading up to any of the 2 ranchers, or the hunter should allow you to accept their side quests

I have now visited both the hunter and the farmer. Here's my update:
While I was able to do the Nimble Rabbits quest and take on the other quests from the hunter, I have not been able to cancel the Hunt and Predator quests, and I haven't been able to retake the Nimble Rabbits like I have been able to do in the past. Also, the farmer hasn't let me take any of his quests even after completing the tutorial.

If you have 2 quests accepted the game wont let you take another one, at least thats what happened with me. You can cancel quests by opening the quest page and holding X

That both does and does not make sense. I was able to accept all three of the hunter's quests just fine. If the game wouldn't allow me to have more than two quests at a time, then I wouldn't have been able to pick up the Nimble Rabbits quest.
I did manage to find that page, and I wasn't able to abort the Hunt quest, I think because I had already made some progress towards that. But the Predators quest I have no progress toward and I still can't abort it, and the hunter won't give me that option either.

Could you please send an email to [e-mail] with your save file and an explanation of your issue. The save file (ranchsave_1.sav or a custom name if set) is located in: AppData\Local\Ranch_Simulator\Saved\SaveGames

To access this location, you can do the following:

- Press the windows key and R together to open the run command
- type in %appdata%/../local/Ranch_Simulator/Saved/SaveGames and press ok

I'll see if I can fix the quests for you - let me know which you want aborted etc

Email was sent and answer received. The solution: Hold the X key instead of pressing it in the Quests menu. It worked!
