Finding Bees
I think the Devs really should make it easier to find bees in this game. Make a grove or something. It really is a waste of gameplay to keep driving/running around searching and not finding anything. I spent a solid 35 minutes RL looking for bees and nothing.

they're extremely hard to find, initially i thought they could only be in the short trees since the only two i had found where in short trees then eventually i found them in larger trees but even still you scour endlessly to find them and if you cut down a tree it's gone forever since they dont respawn.

I got lucky I guess, when I found mine they would always be a second hive not to far off in the area. I wouldn't notice it at first, but by chance I would see something in the distance, Now I always do a area sweep after finding a hive and usually find another close by.

I'm cool with looking for bees in the trees but they should increase the buzzing sound to find them easier. It's almost impossible to hear them while driving.

The best money making method isn't going to be easy to find/get. Best thing to do is while out doing quests or selling things look around. Best place to find them is near the gas station and the town store where you buy animals. They usually spawn in pairs so look around after finding one.

Oh love having them and I don't mind searching for them, but it's such a pain in the butt. I only have a hive and half lol

So far I've had a lot of luck near and around the general store. Found them elsewhere but more often than not up there. They also tend to be on younger trees, not full grown ones (I've seen them on more grown trees but so far never on pines and never on full sized trees).

Because of the way the game loads level of detail, while you can search for them by sight (look for a white ball attached to a tree), it's often easier to listen for them. I'll be driving around and catch a quick bzzz and stop to find it. Already up to three full hives making a lot of money from honey alone (seems I can get honey almost every day?).

I've tried searching for bees for couple of hours but negative. Help..!!! :steamsad:
I once found a hive in one of those trees that branches out in 2 different directions halfway up. it was in between where the 2 sides branched out I could barely even see it. I agree bees need to be louder or with a bigger range of sound

If this is for the base game, focus on areas behind both stores, the area surrounding the ranch with fox problems and the field across the road from your ranch downhill from the gas station. You can hear them while driving past a tree holding them. I see most first though since I listen to radio while playing. ;p I drive through the trees at about 12 to 15 mph and have my head on a swivel. Some gamers might find that disorienting. It's one of my favorite things in the game really. There's up to 15 hives spawned upon load. Once you've successfully harvested hives, wait 2 game days before searching again. I average about 30 hive boxes per ranch I've built. Once you find and harvest the bees, cut the tree down and remove the stump!!
There is other places, but travelling between those 4 places I mentioned you should stumble across others. (like up near the gas station where a possible oil field is located). Good luck!

I got lucky.. I'd get 3 or 4 hives in 5 minutes.

LOL, it is a game, not a job. You also might get lucky finding other stuff while walking/driving around. There's a treasure chest to find and oil wells and...

I am not a fan of easy games. Where's the fun if you just need to drive along a route and clicking left and right to collect stuff? Since bees are an add on to the main stuff I'd rather expect the developers not to change anything.

Except maybe add difficulty levels where on "lame" setting the bees and oil wells all show up on the map. And pay sufficiently less to make the setting less attractive :steamhappy:
