Chickens Dying?

Not sure if it is a bug or I am doing something wrong, but my chickens keep randomly dying? They will be full health, water and food when I leave the ranch to go hunting, and 3 times now I come back and Ill have 1 or 2 chickens die? The food and water is also full when I come back, so they dint starve to death. I also have the upgraded hen house (recommended 20 or less chickens) and have only ever had about 5, cause they keep dying. I also make sure the door is closed so they cant get out when I leave. Any suggestions?

Thanks for all the detail, unfortunately I can't diagnose without seeing this first hand.
Have they ever died whilst you're at the Ranch?

Could you please send an email to [e-mail] with your save file and an explanation of your issue. The save file (ranchsave.sav) is located in: AppData\Local\Ranch_Simulator\Saved\SaveGames

To access this location, you can do the following:

- Press the windows key and R together to open the run command
- type in %appdata%/../local/Ranch_Simulator and press ok

Let them know the email is for Amber, I'll see if the chickens die when I leave the Ranch, then see if they die whilst I'm there and try and diagnose the issue.

The chickens can't get stuck on feces anymore, and the feces will also naturally decompose after a short while now too. So that shouldn't be the cause of the deaths

I had a simular thing happen with my chicks, they just started randomly dyeing. Some right as I was in the coop with them. I just started a new game and am trying again. Do chicks need food on the ground not in the feeder?

Chicks are able to eat out of the feeders, do you remember if there was anything strange about the chicks like were they stuck on something or going towards the food but not actually eating it?
If your save is doing something that I can look at/analyze then feel free to send it over too! I might be able to spot something going wrong

Chickens can get stuck, when you clean click on V on keyboard to get a better view of inside, look to the far left and right there maybe a chicken stuck in the egg trays.

Chickens die every time we leave the house. Or we go to Save game outside the house Whenever comes home, the chickens will definitely die. I played for a very long time Always have this problem if I raise chickens outside the farm area. And go to save elsewhere I think this problem is caused by the game itself not saving the data when we are far away from our pets. Waiting for the developer to fix this bug. I think it's definitely a bug. Because I tried test I have noticed many times.

Not just chickens and every animal If we go out and save the game outside the house, it will definitely die. I did the exam

How strange. Could you also follow the steps above and send your save over to me, I'd like to see if it will happen on my PC.
Also, what is your GPU, CPU and RAM? I'm assuming you're on Windows 10 running Direct X 12?

2 of my chickens died after 4 in game days, i thought it was old age or something. It also happened right after i got 2 fertile eggs and got chased by 2 chickens. Not sure if its the same chickens that died.

Since I posted this I haven't lost a chicken to a random death. But I have only been keeping 4 in the pen, maybe I will buy a few more and see if they die, now that I have a bit more money saved from my cow. I think my previous ones were getting stuck when I had 5 and a baby chick, and not being able to eat.

Just upgraded to bigger hen house. Put food an water into the coop and went to sleep. Came out and 2 of 3 were dead :/

If you do see them get stuck could you post some screenshots here please or email them to us at [e-mail] (don't forget to include the issue and context in the email)

I've had 1 chicken and 1 rooster die on the experimental branch. Both times they attacked me for picking up a fertilised egg and I retaliated by picking them up, placing them in the coop and shutting the door. I go to a nearby building, and when I come back they are dead. Now don't get me wrong, the mental image of a chicken smashing itself into the coop door Moana style until it dies is amusing, but it is painful for my wallet.
