There is no problem. You have learnt the basics so now you continue to grow your farm at your leisure.

check the date of that video, it might have been before the new update that made us able to place houses and buildings anywhere on the land that we own in the game, it might have changed something with the old quest line

Hiya, we changed he quest line to no longer force players to build a house since there are now many options with the new building system. We hope to add more quests or optional quests later in early access
