2 Questions about pigs

Hi,

anyone know how many days pigs need to be fully grown and do piglets need their mother? It felt like piglets grow faster with the mother or did it just seem to me like that?

i didnt keep count of it, but like 4 - 5 days maybe ?? i havent tested if they need their mom, but i let them grow like 2 times before i take them from her

I think it’s 5 days. If you’re using the barn, close the big door, use “E” to wrangle the pig and try to take him out the small side door, if he doesn’t fit through then it’s ready to be slaughtered. If he fits through try again the next day. That’s what I do when I forget to keep track!

not sure if they need the sow but I did learn that as long as there are male pigs even ones from the previous litter she will continue to reproduce.

Yes I know how that sounds I had 1 male and 1 female let them grow to maturity slaughtered the male after the sow gave birth to a litter of 5 let those grow till I could make out their genders and in that time she magically had another 5 piglets

not sure if that helps any but be very careful with pigs otherwise they tend to over populate like deer.
