ok, it takes 2 days except if you don't sleep at night;) in this case it takes 1 day;)
it is a bug, that they haven't programmed yet to calculate the time passed since going to sleep...
I still believe, that during time advancement, the curing should also advance proportionate to the time passed over - it feels very weird/immersion-breaking otherwise.
Also, probably not the right place to ask for, but related: I have not yet found many uses for the time at night as it is pitch dark... (that's why I'm sleeping it over...) can we add some flashlights or lanterns? that was the first thing I looked for in the shop, when during the tutorial darkness fell on me while shopping and could not find my way back to the car... Thanks in advance for considering!
You have a headlight if you press L, and there's lights you can build (they sit on walls) in the blueprints book. We've got streetlights/lanterns on our suggestions list already. Also, it seems like you have a really dark monitor, maybe play with increasing the Gamma value in your settings, this will brighten the game up (don't do it too much or you'll get too much white, a little might help you though)
for the comment about curing: I do not see why those who want to be awake at night would be in any way affected if the time that someone chooses to sleep is added to the curing.
To help you understand the math:
someone is awake 24 hours: things get 24 hours of curing
someone is awake 12 hours and sleeps 12 hours: things get 12 hours curing while awake and 12 hours curing while sleeping = 24 hours curing.
could you please explain the logic behind how it affects (negatively) those who want to stay up all night?
thanks!
Though I agree with arguments that egg/milk spawns are based off in-game time, it was a team decision to make the curing real-time. Else we would have doubled the time it takes to cure items if it was based off in-game time, likely frustrating the already frustrated players that don't sleep. Hope that makes sense, it's really all I can say
Sure, some (re)balancing might be needed afterwards (and in general;-))
