Better fence building

Not sure if it just me but I'm finding the fence building really difficult to work with especially with small/baby animals. They get thru the tiniest gaps which the blueprint cant get any closer. Again it may be just me but if your also having trouble let me know

Same here. Had little piggies running all over my ranch the other day. I keep the barn doors closed now until they gain some weight. I agree better fence building is needed. Maybe different types of fences?

Hi, stick with it, I was so frustrated but it became easier with practice. Best to do a save, backup this save (in case it does a timed automatic save that will overwrite the save you want) then work on your fence building skills ONLY. Once you get the hang of it, reload your save from earlier. If it is not the one you saved, then restore your backup copy then load. Because the time goes so quick and you have lots to do, this is the only real way of practising fences building. Hope this is clear and helps you both.

@bastetkeen Its alright im not so mad at it. Just wanted to know if there was others having as much trouble as i have been. If they fix it great. If not i'll still play the game. and im not great with the save thing so unfortunately that solution wont work for me but thankyou for suggesting it and giving us some confidence

You can use Q and E to raise/lower fences, though chicks shouldn't be able to get underneath unless you've raised them yourself

@Ambreon the animals are getting through when your trying to match the fence to a building eg. coop or barn when it doesn't line up properly.

Ahh okay, it's a case of trial and error then with matching fences up to the buildings, the guide might help but eventually you'll get used to how to match fences to buildings :)

@Ambreon do you have any screen shots of matching fences up with the most expensive coop. It'd help me out a lot

Get used to it, no, you need to fix it. The fencing is borked, can only snap pieces together on one end of each piece so you can only build to the right. It's impossible, in some cases, to see where the fence piece is actually going! Trail and error, riiiiiiight, it takes a ridiculous amount of time to place a piece of fencing to match up alongside a building because, again, the system is borked and quite frustrating, not enough play in the View to see what you are doing.

If they put snap points on both sides of the fence while your building it, this wouldn't be a problem. Would be nice too if you could have snap points on already existing fences so you could addon without having to try and make it look clean and flush.
