Rest and Exhaustion
Finally got a decent play through going - it was not obvious to me that you could have characters rest even after they had used all their Action Points. I thought it was more of an active thing like with gather strength.

Everyday, you should be putting your most tired characters and setting them to Rest before the day ends - it dramatically helps increase their strength. For the Devs - might be useful to warn the user that they have tired characters or unused rest slots - I have no idea why you wouldn't want all your beds filled at the end of every day. Prior to figuring this out - I had multiple characters die of exhaustion despite my best efforts.

Hello Uedlyer!

Thank you for your suggestion! We will try to make fatigue more clear and try to make a reminder about unused rest slots. ;)

Devs, Is it possible for all the characters to rest in the tent?
Also, when a character is tired, I send it to rest on the tent, but it doesn't seem to do much for them.

The maximum number of people who can rest in Shelter is 3. :) (With the "Solid Raised Cot" upgrade built)

There are various things that can affect the effect of Sleeping in the Shelter - it depends if the character have a trait that will affect it (e.g. Short Sleepr), which upgrades contruction have or how long the character had been tired. (If fatigue level was high, it may be harder to remove)

But you can also try to reduce their fatigue by performing the "Gather Strengh" action in Quarantine Point or make Power Tincture. ;)

Hope it helps! :)

Honestly I wouldn't like a reminder at the end of the day, that there are tired persons.
It's much more fun and challenge to find that out alone. Specially sinse it's quite easy, because there is a place for the shelter in the camp (so you know it's useful to build it) and a action named "rest". Yes,it's poosible that one character dies until you find out how to let rest him, but that's all.

It's much more difficult to find out how to heal nausea and make tinktures.

I think the rest mechanic needs to be more transparent. I had a very upgraded, very high quality shelter built with two cots and I swear that once a highly fatigued character I put in there went up in fatigue (from partial red to full red). I've also had "full" fatigue characters resting in the shelter with 2 AP left over who the next day were still at full AP, and they did not have any traits that would have caused the rest action to fail. And I should mention that I was playing on the easiest difficulty. AP sacrificed to Rest should do a similar reduction to Gather Strength actions, otherwise it becomes useless to leave your characters with AP once you've unlocked Gather Strength. Or if you want to make it that way, then the warning about leftover AP should explicitly say that the Gather Strength action will recover more AP than leaving it unused.

I also think it would be nice for the end of day summary screen to show the changes to the character's states better. I want to see what the overall increase/decrease in friendship, trust, credit, fatigue, cold, etc. for that day were so I can better understand how to adjust my strategy. The screen is already pretty large, but there's still a lot of horizontal space you can use to make it work, and I think that kind of info would be really good for us players to be able to see every day.

+1

We need a combat log with all the numbers. Just switch it off on default to not scare the normies :P
