possible new substructure secret
hello children. hello non children.
so i was playing substructure, and came across some very weird sounds. i was at the right-side of the map, the 3 rooms separated by walls w/ a mini-window, and the vents above. i was on the left-most room, next to the stairs, just playing around with some modded factions. it was a shootout, and there was a white cathode light on the ground next to an alive person, both were shot, the light destroyed.

i then suddenly heard a very faint yell, sounding like a male, it echoed. confused, and intrigued, i spawned in another light, destroyed it, and heard another different faint yell, sounding like a girl. after that i destroyed another light, but nothing happened.

i unfortunately do not have a clip, and i've tried recreating this but to no avail. but it was very strange
its possible this is also just new sound maps and it happened at a coincidence
i would look through the games files and try to find the audio, to see if it actually is just a new map ambience, but i'd have no idea where to start, so maybe someone else can, or try recreating the sound.
i should mention, this happened in the base game version, not alpha or beta.

believe me or don't, it's fine. i just wanted to jot down this weird occurrence if someone else ever encounters something similar

perhaps there was a shadow update and it's a troll by a dev...i dunno, ive used the same mods for months so it just seems unlikely to me, but maybe.

Hello, I think I heard that too, but not exactly. When the Substructure Map came out with 1.23, I was exploring it, so I went into this part that I call the Dark room (Gmod references) and started looking around with a flashlight, and when I was going from the middle room to the one on the right, a sound of a plastic plate falling or spinning on the floor rang out, and then another sound that I don't remember if it was a groan or footsteps. You know, with the 1.28 alpha we now have a description of each map, and the description of Substructure says that that place is a replica of an old underground part of the facility, and I think that the Dark Room was some kind of prison, as well as I also think that that bottom part where there are the hot cylinders (🤨) is some kind of mini reactor to energize the place that was maybe a Bunker.

ive messed around in that area lately and the more i do im pretty sure its just map ambience, new ones at that. i'd just have the camera sit there and listen for whatever occurs
some of the sounds are almost similar to the ones in void. so...maybe that's what it is, just ambience. i wouldnt have any other idea
i think said sounds only occur if the rooms are untouched/dark, because i dont remember any times of it occurring when i'd have the whole map light up - but this could be wrong

how funny you made this comment right as i made mine

yeah, ive heard a variety of noises, its all been new noises too.
i kind of like that idea of what you said about it being a prison with the replica, it's all very strange

Now Mestiez has gone mad. The community was always theorizing about the lore of PPG, and one of the most famous theories, and also one of the most generic, is that the game takes place in a colossal laboratory complex, where weapons, bio-weapons, constructions, etc. were tested, and now this is becoming one of the most likely theories to explain the lore of PPG. “Why?” you ask? Just because of the description of the maps, which uses the term “Facility” in the singular, this is the biggest sign that the “Facility” is the place where the game takes place, you can see

Reactor A5 description: A replica of one of the many reactors on the facility.

Substructure description: A replica of an old subterranean part of the facility.

Waste disposal description: A deep waste disposal chute.

Got it? A facility of that size would need a lot of energy, so many reactors, and a bunker would also be useful, and they would need a dump, a dump that probably also generates energy, given the new item I've forgotten the name of, which can consume matter to generate energy. And also on the map of Reactor A5 and Waste Disposal there are doors, meaning that people pass through there, people who I theorize are not exactly people, but anyway, I'll explain that tomorrow, here in Brazil it's almost midnight.
substructure sucks :steammocking:

yeah its definitely seeming like it, even though updates are slow im interested in seeing what the end result may or may not be
goodnight

Okay, I have a theory that could explain the game's story, it doesn't close all the gaps but it does explain a lot.

There is a company that manages the entire People Playground, which company, you ask? VILA, there is a mod in the Steam Workshop from this company, but it is totally disconnected from the possible lore. I know that VILA owns the whole ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing because its brand is everywhere, look for yourself, it's a symbol of 2 rectangles followed by 3 smaller squares, this symbol is on the Detached Ray canon, Pink Explosive, on the engine of the cars trucks and tanks, on the Cardiopulmonary Bypass Machine, the electromagnet, the Industrial Generator, the Lanch Platform, the piston, the industrial piston, the Thrusterbed, the soap (? ), in the middle of the A5 Reactor, at the top of the Substructure elevator, and finally, in the hole in the ceiling in the Waste Disposal, where the waste falls. I only know that the name is VILA because it's on the industrial piston, the only place where you can find this name, so it could be any other name.

But why does VILA do those things to people? Well, they've discovered an advanced technology that I call “Soul Energy”, you may have noticed that 1 out of hundreds of pumpkins releases a blackish-pinkish thing when it's smashed, that's someone's soul, now, PERCEIVE, the similarity of that soul and the sound it makes to the decimation field of the item “Decimator”, in my theory, they use the souls as a source of energy, and they also use them to disintegrate things and generate even more energy, but I'm not sure that's right, because if that were all they had to do, they wouldn't have to build several reactors like Reactor A5, so the other theory, which makes the most sense, is that VILA put the souls in the Androids (FNAF References), not least because that would explain the robots having Shok and Adrenaline as bars in the inspect menu, they have the same human sensations. So they put the Androids to work in VILA's Facility, because maybe humans wouldn't accept the things that happen there, or they can't stand the work environment, which is perhaps so extreme that only robots can handle it, and they use the decimator so that there are no traces left of the crimes that happen there and nobody finds out anything, I mean that below the hole in the Waste Disposal there are several decimators, and as in 1.28 there was an item that transforms matter into energy, they probably transform garbage into energy as well. So in the end VILA was swimming in the river of money after producing without having to pay employees and selling advanced technologies to the government (maybe), like black hole and white hole teleportation, or the Detached ray canon.

This is just a theory, everything here could be wrong, and I still don't have an explanation for what the Normal Sized Gun would be.
