How do I make a weapon fire on it's own?

I'm trying to make a gun (Specifically, the freeze and heat rays) fire on their own, without me holding down the button to make them fire, but I can't find out how to do this. Is there a way to do it?

you can bind them to keys. but on thier own idk maybe make a laser and laser detector and wire that to the rays?

for automatic weapons (like the heat and freeze rays) put a detector next to and pointed at it, and put propagation wire going from detector to gun

nevermind you meant the normal detector

Personally I put down a large button and put weight on it with something heavy like the 1 ton weights and then connect an activation wire so it works indefinitely, hope this helps! :)
