you're both wrong. the color has nothing to do with what's inside the shell It's just something games tend to do to differenciate ammo type.
It actually does have a difference, but it all comes down to manufactures, there's isn't a color code that all manufacturers abide by.
Not true, there is also 12 gauge yellow.
Shotgun shell colors in real life are weird. Color codes is not something that is actually enforced in real life. Some manufactures have a color code, some don't, and some create color codes that go completely against the color codes of another one. It's weird.
Idk how 20 gauge works though, it seems to be always yellow. the problem is, 12 gauge also can be yellow lol the easiest way to tell the difference is to compare a yellow 12 gauge shell to a 20 gauge shell side by side.
