My mods don't work :(

Two common causes are an outdated operating system and compilation timeout.

Operating System

This game works best on Windows 10. If you have no choice or don't care enough, Windows 7 works too. However, you need the latest version of Windows 7. Follow this guide to update.[answers.microsoft.com]

Compilation timeout

Default timeout settings may be a bit low. Just go to Settings -> General and scroll all the way down. You will see a compilation timeout setting. Increase it and recompile your mods by restarting or pressing "Recompile" in the mod menu.

Yesterday my mods were working. I hop on today, restart everything and my mods will not load for some reason. Did an update mess something up or something?

I know modders are always super busy, and honestly i respect you all so much you make the game so good, but i was wondering if someone could make an assasins creed brotherhood mod? you could have a hidden blade that functions like a piston and you could have some really cool rennaissance armour sets
