App crashing on startup

On launch from steam a window appears with title, "People Playground - Unity 2019.3.0f1_ffacea4b84e7
Window starts a progress meter which moves to around 30% of full before the window automatically closes

The last successful run was at least a week ago, uncertain as to the exact date it was last run as I haven't had time to troubleshoot the app.

Graphics card - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti. Drivers updated yesterday

Bought the game on steam. Just newly installed (has happened multiple times while troubleshooting)

Computer is shut down every night so reboot isn't an issue. I've also rebooted after installing the game.

I've run "resetConfig.bat". The operation completed successfully.

Edited the file located in \People Playground_Data\boot.config and added the following:
force-d3d11-bltblt-mode=1 - no change after saving and running
force-d3d11-bltblt-mode=0 - no change after saving and running
force-d3d11-bltblt-mode= - no change after saving and running
Note I did not do all 3 of these at the same time, I only changed the blank to a 0 and a 1, saved and ran the program from steam again.

do any other games have problems on your system?

I suggest you install the latest version of Windows 10, or at least update to later versions of Windows 7. I am saying this since the faulting module is user32.dll which might indicate your operating system is outdated or faulty.

So...I have no idea what changed but it works today. I had tried uninstalling, rebooting, reinstalling and also removing directories / files for this a dozen times before I even posted. After I posted I let it sit as I've been busy and today my son fired it up and ta-daa, it works just fine.
