Game freezes during tutorial - Deserted Room in Cement Factory
Anyone else having trouble with this one?

The music continues playing and I can move the mouse, but can't click on anything (even the carpet directly in front of me), can't exit the screen or make any other action.

The only way to exit seems to be to Alt+Tab out of the game.

[FOLLOW UP]

After searching the interwebs for others who might have encountered this, it seems that the freezing is simply impatience on my part to get into the game!

The deserted room in the cement factory is part of the tutorial - this means that the game wants the player to follow the steps -exactly- as instructed, or else you can't move on.

In this case, the instruction pointer is pointing at something and you -have- to click that thing before it can proceed to the next icon-change-instruction.

After those icons are explained, the player is then free to collect the remainder of the hidden objects.

Hope that helps others who think they're stuck!

I'm having the same problem... no one seems to be responding to this post, so I guess it's not very helpful *sigh*

Tess - if you read the follow up bit i wrote, you may find that you're just impatient like i was! you need to complete the tutorial part fully before you can actually get into the game proper. can't skip it, i'm afraid. hope that helps :)

Hahaha! Thank you VERY much. What made it feel like a bug is that you can't even go back to the main menu or quit out of the game. It really looks like the game freezes.

Life is good. Thanks for posting this!

Thanks be to this thread. I figured it was another legacy game that was having issues with Win 10. Glad to hear that's not the case.

I'm currently working my way through a lot of OLD games and sometimes I find that reframing my expectations does more than any bug fix possibly could - ie. slow down to mid 90's speed and just chill for a bit! I remind myself of how long web pages took to load over dial up and that's the speed I need to go too!
