I don't like online multiplayer, and am very frustrated that almost all the mech games on steam ATM are multiplayer games. Give me a nice campaign.
Most mech games on steam at the moment are not multiplayer games. The only decent Multiplayer Mech games are MWO and maybe DAEMON (Which doesn't even need to be played on MP)

See Hawken as a blueprint for this.
I'd prefer a SP or at least co-op mech based game?.
A vast majority of PVP games have little to enrich, besides the ever evolving meta, which is enforced in part by the top elite players and the devs, which I greatly dislike, as revolving metas force me to abandon my pref play style/weapons/move sets.
Also, reason why I pref SP/co-op based is because I know I'll be able to return to play those games whenever at any time, but with PVP only, you're objectively looking at a limited lifespan, and you're not always guaranteed that the game will go strong out the gate, let alone for 10+ years (which is what I consider the minimum for the lifespan of a PVP based game).
We hardly have that many mech based games these days anyway (certainly not in the vein of Armored Core/Hawken), so adding another PVP only just means far less offerings for the SP/co-op crowd.
edit: but yea more sp/co-op would be nice but we can't expect that from people that do like and want multiplayer and the people that want to make a multiplayer version. we just gotta hope that more companies make good mech games.
It's not always easier when you have to constantly balance the game to the ever shifting meta, then on top of that you also need to make the online experience quite stable for everyone, which isn't exactly a simple and easy task itself.
I'd prefer going against AI or via co-op, because I know full well that meta can and will be abused, and that other players will just go for the OP build, or whatever grants them an easy win (years and years of playing a range of PVP based games has shown me this).
PVP has it's own gameplay loops as well y'know?.
I juust don't see how PVP>co-op let alone SP. Like all 3 aren't easy, and PVP certainly isn't the absolute easiest to roll with, otherwise we'd be neck deep in PVP games that are all going strong after 10+ years.
I'd just like for an SP or co-op option is all.
