i assume someone just remade the game in unity and released it on steam, hoping for a quick buck
no idea how legal that would be, but its still a really well made copy if so, and it is only like $2..
I fell for it, if so! Oh well, it's cute anyway.
I would respect the developer if he remastered the game for free as same as the original as a fan work to play free on Steam and/or Itch.io without downloading any packages from the internet "junkyard".

There exists tons of games that weren't designed to run on Linux; but runs thanks to all the work done by Wine and Proton developers.
