Yeah... deal was to Ivo come with 3000 men, regardless of outcom in your game keep playing. Time will reveal everything to you ;)

Ivo doesn't come and help you no matter what you do to appease him, because he's a horrible monster. As this is a huge spoiler, I suggest playing through the game and not worrying about doing something wrong (you can load an individual day if you truly hate the outcome and want a redo anyway.
