I am about to get 2 last achievements, and while I am 5 weeks (turns) away from "Mad King", I still don't understand what does merchant achievement meant to be.

Please, tell what I have to do in order to get the "I'm an... entrepreneur!"?

I believe turn the tavern into a brothel

When the merchant who became tavern keeper visits you again, he tells you about how it turned out into a pubic house with violent men being not good to the women.

You need to encourage him to keep on, by investing another 28G so he can hire guards.

Afterwards your profit rise from 3G to 4G per week from the "tavern".
