I really want to get all the achievements but I had a hard enough time in the end part of the game. Also tips would be nice

when i start the game, it moves me to the left, then i go into and back out of the pause screen. it will then let me move right, but not left. i cant even pass the first level because i have to move left to pass, but it wont let me. can anyone help me or tell me how i might be able to fix this problem....

Title says it all. I am using the xbox one series X controller (one with bluetooth), and whenever I use it, the snail moves left slowly even when I'm not holding left stick. It is not stick drift, i checked it in the steam controller config and there is no drift at all. Update: Tested it in multiple other games I own, and it doesnt do it, its only this game that does it. Any fix would be helpful ...
