Yet another "non-completable seed" complaint

So I bought this game today, and thought it'd be fun to do story mode using my username ("Xindaris") as the seed. But as far as I can tell there's no way to progress through dungeon 3. The dungeon clearly requires me to be able to "jump" or "swim", but I've looked in every available location and not found anything of the sort. My impression is that only collectibles like books, meteors, and clothes show up as prizes in the overworld and progression items are only in the dungeons. Maybe that's wrong, but I have looked everywhere I could find and there's nothing.

As a side bit of feedback, it seems like it'd be great to have an option to save some kind of spoiler log somewhere so a player who's really stuck trying to find what they need could get a hint without having to go ask somebody else to play their seed.

You're right about progression items only showing up in clearly marked locations, you should never have to go on a hunt for a specific cave or anything. I gave that seed a shot and couldn't find a legit solution either. The swimming item is located in the north exit of this room that's probably giving you problems[imgur.com], which has no other paths[imgur.com] leading to it. I'm pretty sure you can't access that with just the Lighter and Lasso. The path to the east has the blue key.

I think you'll have to call 999-8891, give yourself the debug tools, go to the key items screen and toggle the noclip. There might also be a way to "sequence-break" access it with some potions but that's not really how the game's intended to work.

So uh, I actually have a theory now.
I went and tried another seed (AAAAAAAAAAA and as many capital A's as it would let me enter) since I wasn't getting anywhere with "my name" seed, and discovered that there exists a "hover tunic" which basically lets you float over all water and pits. In this other seed, it was the really expensive tunic from the shop. If that's what the most expensive tunic *always* is, then my theory is that the game actually expected me to save up 1000 coins to buy the tunic in order to progress at this point, which is kind of ridiculous.

...Never mind, I used that phone number to get money and buy the tunic, and it isn't the hover tunic. So I think the logic checker just bugged on this seed or something.

I wonder if the tunics of the "half-price tunics" random shop might be be the key. Unlikely, but still.

Especially since said random shop also sells random tunics.
