I think you'll have to call 999-8891, give yourself the debug tools, go to the key items screen and toggle the noclip. There might also be a way to "sequence-break" access it with some potions but that's not really how the game's intended to work.
I went and tried another seed (AAAAAAAAAAA and as many capital A's as it would let me enter) since I wasn't getting anywhere with "my name" seed, and discovered that there exists a "hover tunic" which basically lets you float over all water and pits. In this other seed, it was the really expensive tunic from the shop. If that's what the most expensive tunic *always* is, then my theory is that the game actually expected me to save up 1000 coins to buy the tunic in order to progress at this point, which is kind of ridiculous.
Especially since said random shop also sells random tunics.
