First impression
Hey everyone,
I wanted to share my first impression after just getting this game yesterday evening (thanks to Raptor which I was watching the playthrough from). I don't feel I played this enough to really do a review on it yet, but I did wanted to share my initial thoughts with potential new players doing some research.

First a bit about my history. One of the first game on PC (if not the very first) I really fell in love with was the original Command & Conquer. Not even the full game but a small 3 mission demo that I got with our first PC in the house (Pentium 1). I loved that demo, especially the second mission from it I will remember forever, it let you build up to the choppers, so a fair amount of stuff, just not the real high level things. After that Red Alert was the first full game RTS I played and then Warcraft 2 came and that one was my favorite game for a lond time.

This game really feels and plays like those classics. I really like it so far.
It has a lot going for it, looks great, is running smooth on my average Laptop. Units are the standard stuff you expect and in this case I find that a positive, fast scout units, light tanks, bigger tanks, artillary, ... It's al there, looks great, cool little animations. Just loving it.
Same goes for the buildings. Everything feels like it's made by someone with a love for the same classics I love and really done great.
Up to the the point the game is now.

This leads me into the bad (or less good stuff).
Atm this has about a simular content I had back in the days with my first command and conquer demo game. More play options, different maps and 3 different factions to choose from (which is a very good thing), but in terms of the buildings and units that become available I just feel there it a bit of high level stuff missing.
Some more infantry would be brilliant, some sort of very high level defence, a different really powerfull building for every faction giving a unique cooldown ability for the end game, ...

Further I really wish there was some sort of small campaign/story mode for every faction. It doesn't have to be very long, maybe like 5 to 10 different missions for each faction to help explain their back story a bit and slowly unlock the above mentioned end game buildings and units.

And then my last negative, unit control. Atm I don't mind the unit AI, my units pretty much do what I would expect the to do left on their own. But I would love to override the AI with simple commands, Hold position, patrol, chase, ...

Now don't let my negatives discourage you, this really is a good game at this point, if on a small sale, I find it already gives good value for the price. But with just a little bit more content I feel this would become a truelly great game, not just good.
Now I'm going to play a bit more against the harder AI enemies to see how I feel with a few more games under my belt.

Thank you for your feedback.
It was my first time to touch PC mouse, when I played C&C in a PC486. From that time I was dreamed of becoming a game developer and make my own RTS games.
In those days we can only get information from papers or magezines, I always got excilting when I found pictures of C&C, Age of empires, Startcraft, Warcraft etc. I thought there is nothing better than playing RTS games in a Satureday morning, and in fact most of the time I can not touch a computer, only design tanks and warships in my brain when I was on the way to school and even in class:)

After 20 years it comes true, with the Steam and Unity engine, I finally make my own RTS games as I wish, but I stiil feel it is not good enough by now. I called off my vacation plan and continue to work on it in full time. I will make a expansion level update, version 2.0, to add navy unit and maps within 2 months.

Now in the store page the comment rate is not so good, please give a comment there and it will help more people to know the game.

Great input, the one thing I like a lot about this game is the balance between real units and supposed, for example, absolutely love the designs of the GAIA, IMO, they are best of three factions, tanks look incredible, they are all similar to real world equipment, though are unique in their own right.

Must say, GAIA is my favorite aswell. I agree their units look the most like our current militairy stuff updated to be a bit more futuristic.
But I do like the other factions aswell. They are just different enough to make their playstyle just a little bit different. It's not huge like some other RTS games I've played but to me they feel different enough.
But so far I mostly played GAIA so my initial thoughts might change after more plays with the other factions.

Now I've played the game some more the thing that bothers me the most is my troop AI. really need some more control there. Units move to much around, you need to micro manage to make them hold position. They don't fall back again to their initial spot after the enemies are killed either. Just 2 buttons, one to hold position and one to chase, would really help a lot. It's the only thing that annoys me when playing. Al the rest of the basics is solid.

Thank you for your feedbacks, I will do more test on unit control and try to streamline it.
