How do you unequip skills from the skill slots???
Using a controller with controller UI, I saw the slot called "secondary" when assigning skills and I had no idea what that even meant. So I assigned a skill there and then I found out that, it actually overwrites the block/parry button(right shoulder on controller), so now I cant block or parry anymore, but instead use the skill I assigned there.

and its worst because I assigned the defensive stance there in that slot so everytime I hit that button by mistake, I end up draining all my stamina. I got no other skills right now since I spent most of them on stuff like blacksmithing, cooking and stuff.

So I been trying all kinds of things I can think of in game and been searching this forum for about 45 minutes trying to figure out HOW THE HELL DO I TAKE THIS DAMN SKILL OFF MY SKILLS BAR so I can block and parry again.

I want to clear the secondary slot so there's nothing in it but I dont see a way to do this.

This is making me frustrated.

I believe there's no drag and drop to clear it, you literally have to put the skill you want into the spot you want it, last time I played a tried to clear it the few usual ways and I don't believe anything worked, maybe that's changed since them, the dev will be around eventually to chime in

The shift click didnt work for me, but the potion of oblivion did.
Thank the maker. I was worried I'd have to use a save from several hours ago. Glad that isnt the case. Kinda annoyed that I had to spend like all my gold to buy the potion tho to fix an issue with the game.

Hope the developer adds the ability to clear skill slots in the future. Despite the games many flaws, its still a good game that im enjoying.

Maybe its because im using controller UI. I should try keyboard UI once I get home.

Edit: Yup, it was the UI. When using the controller UI, the skill slots arent visible on screen, so you cant see them until your ready to assign a skill to a slot and there, you cant shift click to clear it. But with Keyboard UI, the skill slots are visible on screen so you can shift click to clear them. Thus why I was getting increasingly frustrated. But issue is resolved now.
