Game is wonderful, but why is it so cheesed?

I havnt played more than a handful of hours but already level 20 and feel like I can pretty much go anywhere.

In a way thats great and exactly how open world should be. Problem is that I dont feel like this game will challenge me at all. Im a pretty hardcore gamer and most of the time I just want to 100% everything as fast and legitimate as possible. But knowing that mods can be used or the game difficulty can literally be lowered by changing the damage you and enemies do. 200% for me 50% for enemies. I can go anywhere and loot chest before anything attacks me. There are many ways to cheese the game. Its a game that needs to be set on your own rules as is accepting mods. I get it. I just prefer the challenge.

My idea would be to have a world you can copy your character to from the main game or a complete mirror. The stuff used from any mods would not transfer and vice versa. The mirror can actually be used for players to test things as well. Thus removing the need for saves anywhere. Need some restrictions to save. Tweak the difficulty up in the main game and take away any cheesing (enemy dps manipulation). And the main game would mean something. Players can simply opt of of playing the "main game" and play the mirror.

I still like the game its just really easy and I dont think it will keep a gameplay loop going or anything worth more time once I finish the stuff to do (15 hours?) Having some difficulty and grinding needed actually gives depth to a game. A good old school rpg will do so. I get making the game more available for anybody and its great. This game is definitely whats missing from most developers. Simple nice loot you can get as a drop and equip. No p2w cosmetics. Just a good enjoyable open world. Just missing the difficulty :D.

I dont mean to take away anything from the game and believe anything negatively. Maybe im just viewing it wrongly? I did put 1k hours into a game strictly because of mods alone at one point.

Sounds like every single game out there with a levelling/xp system

No? plenty of games require a good amount of grinding and majority of quest to be ready for the next area.

I have no doubt video games transfer to life skills. Just as reading does or working on a hobby.

Dont you realize people who retire need to work their minds? Which is why many will do puzzles or Sudoku or something just to keep the mind going.

The amount of words you can learn from video games is amazing.

The memory and cognitive skills. I mean its just kinda stupid to think that playing games dont increase intelligence and brain function. Im sorry do you not use your brain when playing games?

Do you think a stupid person can run through a game under 2 hours speedrun in which you need to remember which way to go and proceed?

I have endless ways to explain this but all you really need to do is have common sense to say that gaming doesnt make you a more well rounded and smarter person.

For example if you go into a movie theater just looking for pure entertainment and action without and interest in the characters words used and the story then you wont gain anything. But if you go into a movie and try to understand the story, the words, and other things that might come up in the movie, you can learn a ton. Think of top gun maverick. I havnt watched it but it definitely educates you on flying planes and how all that works in general. Now you have an idea of how fighter pilots work and whatnot.
