So far i haven´t seen a way to make the ground bigger, so it seems to be fix the entire game.
Building a house is quite simple, you can place or clean the ground with various objects, no need to be in fear of wasting gold by placing an object by mistake, once you cleaned it you get your gold back, so feel free to build the house as you like as long as you have enough gold.
The house part can be filled with storage-chests for items you want to keep, you can also place a bed for the nice good sleep bonus, the rest should be clear in this regard.
In the yard you can place various objects for havesting stuff you need, like herbs, food and stuff like that, but the most important thing is you can place a teleporter on that ground, which enables you to teleport from anywere to your house, just place the teleportstone down to your hotbar to use it, since there is that merchant lady nearby it is a good way to get rid of some stuff from your inventory you don´t need.
