not relying on boost just nitrous would b amazing
in pvp let the host decide and you join players by settings
and you can even make it so that the nos can go either way to any who prefer one over the other- either push to gradually deplete nos over time or have charges that let off a set amount of nos with a slightly shorter boost but with more bang. you can customize it- that's the point. just make it balanced, of course. you can even have custom setting for how much velocity boost vs duration to make.
I like NOS because it's a simple system that performs well with any car. I LOVE racing stock cars with NOS only mods. Kind of fun. Give restrictions for online play or multiplayer races so we can vote to have it on or off.
OR keep it like the Street and keep the mystery of not knowing if someone has NOS or not. I'm fine with it in any way shape or form so long as it IS in the game. Not everyone likes NOS, but everyone likes power. Find your balance.
If anything...let us choose system types.
Either press and boost for short bursts but you can't burst for long stretches. Good for races with many turns or for those that dislike holding or long shots.
Or let us use Single Big Shot systems that spray much more NOS, give more power than burst but can only be used once and last longer than a burst. Making this ideal for Drag Races or straights on some circuits or rolling starts on freeway runs.
Let US choose how we use NOS for the race and car we are driving in. I think this would be the best solution. Freedom of choice.
P.S. Don't make NOS overpowered between the two systems and don't make the sound or the visual of NOS cheesy. I'm okay with what Gran Turismo 7 has done for NOS.
