Is it possible to turn off the drift assist?

The drift assist is really annoying me because i already know how to drive, and it automatically countersteering is screwing with my muscle memory.
It also means i can't actually tell what the car is doing or feel in total control as it won't let me oversteer more or cut the counter steer fully.
So can I turn it off somehow?

I've came here just to bump this post, because it's actually annoying, I'm used to unassisted drifting in other games, I'm already disappointed and sorta want to refund it

yeah that is pretty much why i'm asking. if it ends up impossible to turn off i think that would be the straw that breaks the camels back for me

We'll see what happens, they added an option in the first carx, so hopefully they follow suit with this game. I understand the appeal for it for new drifters, it's satisfying to just full lock and the car just drifting for you, but for people who're experienced, they do not want this at all.

If the devs can't make a driving game where the wheels point in the direction of the player's input, then they need to give up.
