Pink slip races

i think pink slips would be a perfect way to add that extra thrill to a race with your ride on the line or some kind of a betting system, what do you guys think?

IDK, a lot of people I knew didn't take kindly to that mechanic in Need For Speed: High Stakes when they lost, they removed the memory card from the Playstation before losing their ride and gave the winner a duplicate.

What if someone loses internet either through lag switch or through a real internet outage?
