Problem starting race

Oops

I bought the game today and just started the C2 races.

I was doing the races normally until I got to one where the HUD to start the race simply doesn't appear and I can't start it. It's like my car isn't suitable, but I've seen that it meets the requirements.

Does anyone know what it could be?

Just ran into the exact same problem with my M5 wagon. Can't do the first race due to no way to accept the race when getting to the marker.

Oddly enough, I closed and opened the game again and it worked.
