The overall experience and progression is definitely more like Most Wanted or NFS Underground. Not as dark and gritty, but you get your first car, and then it's "off you go" into the first Club. You do a handful of club races, and then you do the boss race. And then it's the next club.
Rinse and repeat for... I dunno, 15 times? But the club requirements rise, as in you need to have more powerful cars and have a higher style rating for the car.
And that's all there is to this game.
I know I am making it sound bad, but that's unintentional. I would say CarX Street is "straight fun without much bullsh*tting around".
In that regard, it is the same as Forza Horizon 5 or The Crew Motorfest, but yet it has a different vibe.
I see, but it's gameplay loop is essentially like theirs then? Do races, earn rewards, upgrade cars rinse and repeat?
What is "western dev nonsense."
In Forza tuning is mostly optional IMO.
This game is way more indepth in tuning than other casual racing games. It makes a huge difference how you setup your car and if you don't take the time to set them up nicely then they can handle like garbage.
The importance and impact of tuning, while nice, kind of reduces the accessibilty of the game. In a sim game I would understand this more, but in my opinion arcade games are more tailored to a broader audience.
Again, I know this is pretty much a hot take from me.
Nah I actually completely agree it makes no sense to make it this "hardcore"
