Custom playlist instead of the default songs?

I have the whole NFSU2 playlist on my system and am currently just playing it separately outside the game.

Is there a way to make the game play your MP3 (or whatever format) or is it only going to be those ~10 default songs?

No in-game player (yet), so do the playlist separately. It works just as fine, especially with multimedia keys on your keyboard so that you can start a song to match it with the race start.

Suggestion: add NFS MW and especially NFS HP2 soundtrack there too!

it would be supper cool if we could just paste a link to a playlist in to the music player and it would just work, maybe supporting the top 10 most popular music players. youtube, spotify, pandora, soundcloud, ect...

But even still just the ability to play music from your pc would be nice

I just have a playlist on YT music I found with a huge mix of music from 2000s - early 2010s racing games that I use the Steam overlay browser to play.

I'd have no complaints if we were able to give the game a link to music playlists on YT or Spotify though.

Wait a second. Isn't there any music folder? Where you can just put your music? Or just throw the deafult one out and put in the custom 10?
