People just suck LOL
Although in tier 1 the AI uses the base Street tires that you start out with, for C2 - C6 they instead use Racing tires no matter what. The resulting effect of this is due to the AI matching what performance parts you equip they can seem like they're cheating in the way they have more grip and can simply take most corners faster than you can with many players being stuck in a loop of waiting for the AI to make a mistake and crash in order to progress.
IMO this simple solution here is have the AI slowly ramp up the quality of tires they use more in-line with the natural progression of the player as they earn more money and in-turn can afford to use better tires.
Seeing as there's conveniently 6 tire types total in the current build I think the AI should be balanced as such with "Club" spec being the standard campaign races and "Elite" being the elite races you unlock upon completing a club of that spec (which claim to be a harder difficulty):
C1 Club: Street Tires / C1 Elite: Street+ Tires
C2 Club: Street+ Tires / C2 Elite: Sport Tires
C3 Club: Sport Tires / C3 Elite: Sport+ Tires
C4 Club: Sport+ Tires / C4 Elite: Racing Tires
C5 Club: Racing Tires / C5 Elite: Racing+ Tires
C6 Club/Elite: Racing+ Tires
At the end of the day the AI is simple and just follows the racing line verbatim so this simple change should be enough to make the game seem a bit more fair. Due to the lack of difficulty settings, limiting the AI to just the performance requirements of the race rather than matching the player could also be a good option also as this lets the player grind more to make their car more overpowered for an event if they feel it's too hard for them. Also, catch-up is a terrible mechanic and should be disabled.
the main issue is just that the opponent AI cars weigh like 500 tons. they can easily push you but you cannot push them back. I don't mind aggressive AI, there's probably np rules in street racing anyway. But it's annoying when I can't do the same thing back to them.
traffic AI is fine. sometimes ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ yes, but for the most part, they are avoidable. u need to keep looking ahead and be careful on blind crests and intersections. if you get too close to the traffic, they will try to avoid you by turning. sometimes they will turn into you but how are they supposed to know you will turn right or left. it actually feels like you are street racing. i hope they dont nerf it too bad because yall keep complaining about traffic in a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ street racing game.
