My guess is even that the fix is a positive side effect of the latest patch and was by no means done on purpose because the skip was inconsistent even before the update and worked better the more fps you had or if you even paused at the right moment.
Anyways, top 50 / top 100 is, at the moment, only possible if you study youtube where people spend like 30 hours on the single track and list you every single exploit that has to be used or you just download wemod and put your game to 50% speed and/or give you infinite NOS.
At this very moment, the singleplayer is a grind simulation and the multiplayer is completely ruined by cheaters and mod abusers, be it by literally cheating the mechanics or because they have 20 maxed out cars that legit players will not be able to get after 200 hours of playtime.
I'll keep my hopes up for now but it's looking really bad right now.
Holy sh!t, this is even worse than I thought, this is so pathetic, and dev fixing the shortcut before the end of the event is the most moronic thing I've seen. Anyway, thanks to you I don't have to waste my time.
if you know how the mechanics of the game work in terms of handling, tuning and NOS management, then it does not take that long to get good times. Could never imagine spending more than an hour or two on this game for time attack events xd
