Nothing done to increase performance apart from changing shadow quality to ultra.
Still seems low when comparing it to the direct competitors (NFS, Horizon) but still way better than for a lot of other people. Anything beyond 90 should be very playable in racing games.
1080p or 1440p tho? I'm hoping the latter?
I7 13700k
32gb 6400 mhx ram
990 pro nvme2
90-100 fps in freroam, and 35-50 fps in race, what the actually hell??
Thanks, yeah I was about to say check the newest drivers. I guess I've heard the game is capped to 144 fps and since there's frametime pacing issues (stuttering, bad 1% lows) you will probably always stay like 10-20fps under your cap no matter the hardware.
But yeah, anything beyond 100 seems good enough for me in a racing game. I think making use of our 240hz for this game would basically yield us nothing other than throwing money in the trashcan for the electricity bill.
1440p I assume, right?
What's CPU and GPU usage ingame? Are you running some recent driver? Is it a "smooth" 45fps or is it stuttering? So does it feel like something is wrong or does it feel like your hardware is at it's limit? (It's obviously not but you get what I mean)
OOff yeah 85c is indeed ridiculous for this game lol. Typical indie game issue...
cpu is at 25-30% usage while at ultra settings at 4k and my gpu is at 70% usage, not smooth at all, very stuttery, something feels really off, freroam feels okay at 100 fps but not perfect, lags sometimes even then, and no it doesnt matter for me atleast to lower the settings. and im using the latest nvidia drivers 560.94.
Thanks for sharing. I guess we might have to wait for an official NVIDIA driver supporting the game then. The extreme difference from one system to the next hints that the game can indeed run quite okay and it's probably a software related issue.
I'm in roughly this boat, which is a shame. Everything else seems perfectly fine for a $30 CAD game, but the performance blows compared to the hardware it's running on.
The only difference being I have double the RAM and a Thready 3960X. Other games run flawlessly on my system.
80fps, until I start moving in any way, and it dips to 40fps
It's gotta be an optimisation issue
yeah most likely, we will have to wait and see. until then i refunded it. for now im going back to carx drift racing online..
4080 Super, btw

RTX 3090 - Drivers - 560.94 (Latest)
64GB 6400Mhz (Gskill Ripjaws)
WD Black 1TB NVME (Believe its an 850 but can't remember)
Avg 190 FPS in free roam, Avg around 150 in (some) races.
Settings:
1440p, No motion blur, no vsync, everything else maxed.
I do have some global settings applied in NV control panel that are perhaps helping.
I do notice some large fluctuations in FPS when in certain areas but lowest it has dipped is 112, if I locked frames I'm sure it would be more consistent but I haven't noticed any issues/stuttering so I've just got it set to 360.
I have a feeling it may have something to do with the instance you're in because I just restarted the game and I'm getting lower FPS numbers (around 160), but I'm just speculating with no knowledge of how their servers work, I did several restarts earlier with no notice of changes in FPS.
