Sherlock Holmes Nemesis AND/OR Fix for The Awakened - Remastered when Game Won't Start OR Get past New Game Splash Screen

Sherlock Holmes – Nemesis AND/OR The Awakened - Remastered Not Launching / Freezing @ New Game Splash Screen
After many failed attempts at trying to get both of these games to run on my laptop (Windows 7 and it meets all of the minimum requirements) I did the following and it FINALLY let me play these games!

Go into your Program Files(x86) folder on your hard drive, open the “Steam” folder, open the folder called “steamapps” and locate the folder for “Sherlock Holmes Nemesis” AND/OR “Sherlock Holmes The Awakened – Remastered” in the list of games.

Open the folder for the game and then go into the folder named “Support” – you will see that the download of these games from Steam included two executables for you to run…one is for DirectX and the other is for the PhysX driver all of the threads say you are missing, but this version is the one intended and designed to run with the game (v9.12.0213)

Double click the “DirectX” folder and scroll through the list of files until you locate the “DXSETUP.exe” – double-click this file and click through the prompts until you receive a notification that the installation has finished.

Go back up in your folder directory (the root of the “Support” folder for this game) and open the folder named “PhysX” then double-click on the .msi (Microsoft Installer package) file called “PhysX-9.12.0213-SystemSoftware”. In my download there was only this one file in the “PhysX” folder so there was no confusion as to which version of the driver to install.

Once this setup completed I followed the instructions from other posts which state that the root folder of “Sherlock Holmes Nemesis” AND/OR “Sherlock Holmes The Awakened – Remastered” requires the PhysX driver to be copied into it so it will run properly and to do this you need to go back to Program Files(x86), locate the folder named “NVIDIA Corporation”, open the folder named “PhysX”, open the folder named “Common” then copy the file named “PhsyXLoader.dll” and paste this file into the root of the “Sherlock Holmes Nemesis” AND/OR “Sherlock Holmes The Awakened – Remastered”folder.
