Well, each person has their reasons and they have the right to complain and to feel disappointed, it is normal and they can express it. However, there are people upset because others express an opinion contrary to theirs, the world clearly upside down...
Visual appealing is another matter, different from how polished is a game.
I think Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars is a polished game, although it has very poor mechanics as a "card" game, taking in acount that the "card" term is even in the tittle of the game and in its description.
This. They probably didn't even play the game right if they forgot it had actual 3D fighting in it.
Also just give this game mod support and maybe the game will be fixed, also can't you turn off the DM's voice and just use subtitles?
I HAVE BEEN PLAYING SEVERAL HOURS AND THE MAPS ARE BORING. EXPLORING AND CLEARING THE ZONE THOROUGHLY MAKES YOU LEVEL UP EASILY AND BOSS FIGHTS ARE NOT DIFFICULT AT ALL. BEAUTIFUL GAME, CUTE, BUT LOST ME AT NON-CHALLENGING PUZZLE
You can the DM is even telling you that you can do it at the start of the adventure.
I clearly don't see the point with Hand of Fate. We just said that Hand of Fate has a Deck-building component to it when Voice of Cards is just using cards for its aesthetic. That's it.
Again, this is starting to annoy me. Why are people thinking this a deck building game when there is nothing in the game that implies that. I'm starting to wonder if these people saw something more obscure in SEs library like Crimson Shroud, do they look at and go "oh this must be like For the King"?
>"I've literally never played a D&D campaign in my life and this looks boring as hell to me."
>"Why is this the same old generic "go slay a dragon" plotline? Lame."
>"Everything is so minimalistic and boring."
>"The GM sounds bad."
You guys do realize that the game literally makes fun of itself at multiple intervals, poking fun at a multitude of archetypes, right? The GM/narrator actually has a pleasant voice and he's part of the reason why I stay immersed (not sure about the English VA, I've only heard the Japanese VA). Lastly, the game is basically a tabletop RPG with the movements, animations, etc. just with cards, so I'm not sure why people are going into this expecting to be blown away by iNsAnE HiGH eNd GRApHiCS or something.
Imagine unironically buying a tabletop RPG with cards and getting upset when it turns out to be a tabletop RPG with cards, lol.
Thank you!!!
People were saying the same dumb **** over Dungeon Encounters earlier this month too, lol. Either they have the attention span of a fruit fly or they're just quick to dismiss anything that doesn't look shiny and have colorful explosions, and **** going off every two seconds. Either way, it feels like I'm talking to a bunch of zoomers when they can't even appreciate something like this.
If Square-Enix stops releasing experimental titles, you'll know why. I, for one, would rather not see them continue to be a Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, etc. printing machine though. Dungeon Encounters was great and Voice of Cards has turned out to be pretty good so far as well (only a little over 7 hours into it at the moment). People really need to stop thinking AAA games are associated with quality and maybe give AA titles a chance.
Honestly, these two titles alone, released in the same year no less, have been more entertaining for me than anything Square-Enix has released in the past 5 years, tbh. I couldn't care less about CHAOS or FFXVI, so it's nice to have a little change of pace and go back to something that's a little slower and more relaxing.
