To slow, to many clicks to confirm.
My title is basically my only complaint. I enjoyed the story, narrator was fine. Liked the combat and skills, leveling up. All of it was good.

The amount of time it takes to flip a card, to go back and forth through menus. Felt like the game was thinking before I did anything. And so many confirmations, buying and selling at the store is a chore.

Like they added in 'buy&equip' but no prompt after to sell my old gear? I understand you dont always want to, you might want to put that old gear on another character(assuming there will be more) but in a game with no easy menu/clicking system to buy sell, having to pull and flip these option 'cards', a simple prompt of "do you want to sell the old one" would be a time saver.

I get my complaints are mostly nitpicks, or some of the complaints amount to a second or even half a second more, but when you get a dozen nit picks or having to do the same slow action for hours at a time, it adds up and it does matter.

interesting concept overall though.

Yeah as I've said elsewhere, it feels like a Dragon Quest game in the way it's paced.

Yeah, the menu-screens are way too slow. Another thing I don't like are the options. I am playing on a WQHD monitor, but you can't select a resolution above 1080p, which is a joke for a game releasing in 2021. After playing the demo I had a really bad headache, cause the screen looked way too blurry. I hope they fix this.

This game's mouse controls are wonky. The reason you have to click twice on a card to confirm it is because that's the way it works with controllers (select with stick or directional buttons, then confirm).

The way it should work is that you mouse over a card to select it, then click to confirm. This is a disappointing lack of effort on the part of the developer/port team.

Probably the game was thought to be a mobile game, but after 2 ""Taro"" games on mobile they've probably would get backlash, so they've changed to PC/Consoles only but the main mechanics used was from mobile (at least that's what I think, there's absolutely no reason for the game confirming your actions so many times).

I agree. good picture but tempo is bad.

Agree, they should probably speed up a lot of the animations.

I didn't play much coz it was kinda getting on my nerves

Yes, I spend too much time just looking at the screen.

Agreed, too fiddly. Menu navigation, map navigation, interactions, one card for every single notification etc. They could really streamline this, e.g. have some info on the map, some popups on the side, the voiced narrator with subs instead of card text. I found the whole thing extremely frustrating.

Overall the game needs to speed up by 50%. It felt like it took more than an hour to play three mini card games. I would definitely buy if they make the game play faster.
A buy / sell menu when you slide all the cards you wish to buy and all the cards you wish to sell, then hit trade would be nice.

Way way too slow plus the game needs a difficulty slider, only the final boss does more than 1 damage.

Yeah i agree the click card and then click again to confirm is too much. Its not a game breaker, but if they address this it would make a lot of players happy and give a smoother experience.

Agreed, its like im playing at childs pace. Let things move faster and smoother i dont want to spend 5years to cast a card
ManDynasty Sep 26, 2021 @ 4:48am
^^agreed...game feels incredibly slow for all the basic tasks like fighting, shopping and moving..i understand this as an atmospheric point, but not everyone will enjoy it this way and will get bored fast

Though i like the idea that text prompts in any form are replaced entirely by cards...this is truly a "cardgame", since everything literally is cards. But therefore it has a high cost on the tempo.

agreed. there should be an option to skip confirmation prompt and speed up card animation.
but still a great looking game.
