Why does this game feel worse than Automata?

I was playing it for a bit and it's just so repetitive walking around and doing quests. I don't mind the walking around so much as I do mind doing pointless fetch quests while getting very lackluster rewards for them

And isn't this game supposed to be newer than Automata? why is it missing so many QoL features like damage numbers and fast travel? damage numbers is quite a big one for me because I can never tell if I am actually getting stronger

Nier Automata is the sequel to Nier Replicant and this game is a remaster of Nier Replicant.

This is a remake of a fairly old game; Nier Gestalt.

To be completely honest I am also a bit disappointed in how little they've improved the game beyond visuals and controls, especially considering the popularity of Automata.

Would've loved, that, if you get sent to like the other end of the world, you don't have to walk through a map for 30 sec, loading screen, walking for 30 sec, another loading screen

due to being a remaster of the previously japanese only game, it is not that much better. nier replicant was initially released only in japan, while other countries got nier gestalt.

I mean that's the bare minimum they could do even atlus with their half arsed ports/remasters usually do that.

keep in mind that in order to release this game, they had to record new voice acting.
